how’s this for irony….

i’m riding home a few nights ago following along behind a little honda sedan. i noticed that the car was equipped with a GPS unit on the front windshield. as i’m following along i notice it is giving arrows and commands for the route the driver is supposed to follow.

even with a big flashing arrow, and likely voice commands, to tell the driver to turn – they missed the exit!

one of the funniest programs i’ve watched in recent memory. i’d actually tried to ‘tape’ the sarah silverman show on the comedy network, but instead i got several episodes of the jon dore show.

it’s brainy, but absolutely filthy and bizarre humour. he basically has some sort of personal dilemma or breakdown each episode which forces him to seek the advice of a psychologist, friends or professionals in the community. he asks questions, that well, shouldn’t be asked, especially to a stranger.

he even throws in a few groaner lines in each episode which leads to a cutaway with a ‘writers’ meeting’. the last episode was the line ‘throw me a bone’ then, of course, he actually has someone off screen throw him a bone. the cutaway shows a bunch of dogs in glasses as his comedy writers – one with a poop in front of him – “dreyfus, this is just shit…” another wirey rat-dog begins growling at him when he mentions the comedy writing isn’t up to snuff.

well worth a watch if you get the comedy network – time well wasted…

funnier than david letterman?

every night i ‘tape’ david letterman on our PVR unit and watch them when i have time.the last few weeks this ridiculous, but equally hilarious, video showed up as one of the commercials. initially i thought it was a spoof by sasha baron cohen of borat fame. but they are actual commercials, for an actual insurance company. honestly i’ve seen a few of the variations and it’s one of the funniest commercials i’ve seen.

yes, i think you’ll be a star – cue the beatles.

okay, i’m surprised it’s taken this long to have porn introduced into something that otherwise is an unexciting event – washing the car.

pull in, pay the money and whoa! naked ladies, or perhaps men if that primes your pump. you can go to a stripper bar, nude waitresses/ers, why not a car wash attendant – the water, soap and all the necessary ingredients are there for some good down home fun.

“honey i’ll be back in an hour, just going to ‘wash the car.’”
