Calgary Sun Poll - Disturbing?
MP, Jason Kenney’s remarks about immigrants and their ability to speak one of the two official languages is disturbing. Is it really necessary as an immigrant to speak the country’s language or is it something that you can learn while you’re there? I know it would certainly limit your employability and social circles, but should it be a criterion for not allowing someone into our country.
What’s even more disturbing is the general sentiment of Calgarians about immigrants. The more things change, the more they stay the same….
