cut greenhouse gases and hot air, vote out the conservatives next election
man, i still can’t believe stephen harper and his little keebler elves got elected at all. it’s been two years and they done absolutely what they’ve criticized the martin and chretien government of; doing dick. they’ve done absolutely nothing at all. harper is invisible, and now they’ve become collectively a new ‘green’ party.
what a crock of shit, the conservatives pretending to give a rat’s ass about the environment. they support big business interests and always have. and frankly it’s insulting to anyone that has two pieces of grey matter to think they would try to undermine kyoto and have the support of the canadian people.
there’s been talk, talk and more talk about how the conservatives were going to change canada and introduce new policies that would change our lives. well yet again, history is proving itself. conservatives will be in for one term, will do nothing and get shut out in the next election. they do as they have since the 1930s in canada, absolutely nothing useful. they become a temporary fix to keep the liberals in check, once they wear out their welcome, it’s back to the liberal party.
this new ‘green’ plan, less than kyoto, less than anything really is just another bullshit smokescreen to make it look like they are doing something. well, rockstar al gore calls bullshit on the conservatives - not only is the conservatives ‘green’ plan ineffective it will be ineffectual.
why, why can’t we vote for a leftist party occasionally in canada. try the NDP for one term, i have a feeling that they would really make change, or set us on the right path. then the liberals and conservatives can coopt their successful policies and well cycle through terms of bullshit with the liberal and conservatives. at least every 10 years or so we’d have a government that would shake things up a bit and institute some change.
