Superfunkomatic - Observations of the Socially Inept

everything in my school career seems to be culminating in the next few weeks of effort. the final papers, the final exams - it’s all soon to be, well, final.

hard to believe that after starting school in 1988, with various and sundry distractions along the way, that i’m actually going to be done university in a matter of weeks. to be honest, i’m glad that i’m going to be done, but it seems odd to be at a point in my life again where i’m actually starting from scratch again - the bottom of the pile, but in a good way.

i’d lost interest and my desire to be involved in corporate communications and web development, but i’m genuinely excited now to be embarking on the final journey for the teacher preparation program next fall. i’m sure i’ll be just as surprised two years down the road when it’s done and i’m then out looking for a job as a teacher.

tough to stay focused these last few weeks. it’s like running the marathon, in this case almost 20 years long, and seeing the finish line. it’s tough to keep the same pace knowing you’re so close to the end, but to complete the race you’ve gotta just keep going. i’m in the final sprint to the finish, 5 days of class to go…
