i wanna do it, no i wanna do it
an instructor had a funny quip in class the other day. a blackboard full of chalk, uncleaned and unprepared for the next class. jokingly he asked if one of the 80+ students would like to clean it for him. not surprisingly, no one volunteered.
when we’re small we’ll literally come to fisticuffs with those around us to get the opportunity to wipe the blackboards.
