swipe your card the other way, no the other way
most everyone now has a debit card and uses it on a daily basis at point of sale terminals or automated bank machines.
it seems inevitable that you’ll pick the way it doesn’t fit into, or can be read by, the machine.
at some point there will be a smart human that can devise a diagram that can be read so you know which way the card actually goes through the machine correctly. not the cryptic little pictures that most have.
maybe it’ll be the same scientists that could design glyphs for the voyager spacecraft in the 1970s that was designed to be read by aliens in the far corners of our solar system. surely if we can get a spacecraft to the nether regions of our solar system, with a gold plated phonographic disc, readable by aliens, we can design a system for our bank cards to be put into a machine right-way up.
