what’s old is new again

funny how great music comes back in another era and grabs a new audience. when i was but a lad i remember the first time i heard run-dmc remix “walk this way” by aerosmith. not only was i not familiar with aerosmith, but i really hadn’t heard rap music. this opened a whole new interesting avenue of music for many people - starting to delve into old aerosmith music (which honestly i think is now beaten to death with classic rock radio) and open the eyes of people who never gave rap music a chance in it’s infancy - legitimacy as an art form.

forward to the last few months. chrysler is still building “muscle cars”, term used loosely. and with the release of their new vehicle, with an old name from the days of yore they put together a tune mixing a hot new dj/rapper (classic chris) with an old rock ‘n roll classic “hair of the dog” by nazareth. frankly, one of the most interesting collaborations since the run-dmc days, and it’s actually a nephew of one of the members of run-dmc.

really interesting story - read it here - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8931381/

i’m sure it’s no accident that it’s available online in a full-res (192 kb/s) version. can you say leaked for publicity by the media and likely chrysler’s PR firm.
