how eagles saved my day
it’s not like it sounds. a tale of eagles swooping down and rescuing me from the perils of all around me.
actually, listening to music on the most boring of boring days. man, some days it would be nice just to suddenly turn and look at the clock only to realize it’s time to go home. the fact that absolutely nothing would change in the space-time continuum if those 8 hours disappeared for me wouldn’t come as a shock.
luckily there is the ipod, and a whim to listen to old tunes - the eagles greatest hits. now i’ve got a peaceful easy feeling, and the day is whiling itself away, albeit slowly.

maybe it is vacation time…
you see I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
it felt good to be out of the rain
in the desert you can remember your name
’cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain
you know, the eagles + america would be one sweet concert, if i were not so anti-gigantic concerts.
yes, that would be great - a night of vocal harmonies. i love that old america greatest hits album - sister golden hair, i remember that from AM radio when i was a kid.
funny how those bands made such an impression in our youth.
