surround yourself with greatness, and you shall be great -sort of…
lately i’m finding a lot of inspiration in the fact that people are ruthlessly and unabashedly posting their personal lives, feelings and creativity online. i haven’t been terribly busy at work lately (read: seducing the canine) so i’ve been wandering through the wonderland that is personal blogging and photoblogging.
it’s amazing what useful, clever, and sometimes completely useless but fun info can be found out there. with the number of people writing about life, death, what’s funny, what sucks, who pisses them off, who’s pissed on them - it really provides a lot of insight into our lives and human condition.
think of what a great resource google has become to learning and seeking knowledge. look at the now vast expanse of knowledge, feeling, emotion and creativity that’s available because people are free to truly express themselves (and not in a bullshit first amendment way), but what’s really happening - now.
i’ve heard the expression, loosely paraphrased, about surrounding yourself with greatness to help reach higher levels. when i see what people are chatting about and the creative uses of their cameras it really gives one pause. it makes me want to pick up my camera and just shoot - alas it is now dark. tomorrow and tomorrow.
inspiring.
