the trouble with holidays is they always end
the first real, “real”, vacation in ten years. time to stop, do absolutely nothing, have an unbelievable flu virus that i swear is the beginning of the next human pandemic -really, it is – then collect my thoughts and proverbial shit and move on to a new job.
i’ve had time to be a vegetable, and time to try some new things. time to figure out a 5 year life plan, and time to drink the occasional nectar of the gods that is beer.
i’d liken this holiday to a large whiteboard that’s become full of stuff over the past few years. i’ve written so much on my whiteboard that i’m running out of space. time to wipe off the board and start with some new content. i feel refreshed and ready to jump back on the bandwagon of life, funny how two weeks can slow things down and allow you to regain perspective.
