Even Microsoft Can’t Resist the Lure of the iPod

funny how M$ claims to have solutions, the finger on the pulse of digital media and hardware designed as a “media centre” yet their own employees use an Apple designed product.

Be honest, is there really anything that’s as easy to use as the iPod - no. I’m not talking about features simply the ability to plug it in and go - nothing works quite as well in that respect.

Maybe instead of trying to squash support for competitors’ products M$ can spend some time reverse engineering and ripping off the ideas behind the iPod - sound familiar - windows UI, media centre (digital hub), search component (spotlight, apparently years in the making), music store (come on M$, that’s your idea of a music store - and what’s the deal with ‘beta’, isn’t beta supposed to be before you release software to the public, duh). unfortunately they are all pale imitations of the original ideas.
