Superfunkomatic - Observations of the Socially Inept

i was horrified, really horrified by a recent case in the united states about an abused dog. two 17 year old boys (not men, definitely boys - obviously with idiot intellect or serious mental issues) beat a stray dog nearly to death with a skateboard. only to later be found by animal health officers and be euthanized.

not only is it horrifying that the event happened, but that these two kids filmed it.

the boys received probation for the incident. i have a great respect for all forms of life, and this actually sickens me to the point of near tears, and shaking/trembling. i’m left with only one question, why? why would anyone do such a thing. it also left me with deep seated anger - someone should make idiots like these accountable for their actions. i can only imagine what that poor dog felt - but i can’t imagine what could make anyone THAT angry against an innocent animal.

i guess i’m thankful that i’m able to find such information on the internet, and to help groups defend against these types of actions in the future - to be informed of the world around me. but at the same time i wonder - if ignorance is really bliss - not knowing of acts like these sometimes is easier than facing the cold hard truth of idiotic human behavior.
